MISSION AND GOALS

School of Dance Studies is an eight month training program designed to provide students with intense dance training and study in order to reach the world by upholding God's truth and maintaining artistic integrity. The school is modeled after a college-level dance course and is therefore highly intensive academically, physically, and spiritually. Emphasis is placed on excellence in technical training as well as academic course work related to dance and missions, providing students with a well-rounded training base. The school concludes with a 6-8 week outreach to another location to serve and love communities in need while sharing the good news of Christ and the gift and joy of dance. 


Mission:
We are called to equip dancers with the training and knowledge they need to be on the forefront of the performing arts, in order to utilize their unique giftings for the advancement of God's kingdom. We do this through upholding biblical truths and maintaining artistic integrity. Furthermore, we are called to release dancers to worship in dance, and be an active part in God's plan of cultural redemption.


Goals:
1. To train and equip dancers with proper knowledge of the art form.
2. To provide students with a learning environment that promotes Christian values and a Biblical Worldview of the performing arts.
3. To provide a common training base for dancers who want to come on staff with School of Dance Studies.
4. To release dancers to start an effective dance ministry, pursue missions, or work in the professional dance community.
5. To give dancers an opportunity to learn how to use their gifts as an effective evangelistic tool through ministry opportunities that promote practical application.
6. To disciple artists. 

School of Dance Studies is a ministry run out of international Christian missions organization Youth With A Mission. All students must first complete a Discipleship Training School at one of Youth With A Mission's worldwide locations.
